GAMES
- The 1st XV cup run came to an end on Saturday when they went down bravely 15-3 to Old Laurentians from Midlands 3 West South in the Senior Vase. Great effort lads. We now have the North Midlands Shield to compete for later in the season
- The 2nd XV won again against strong opposition. With no first team game Edwardians sent over a mixed 1st/2nd XV. The powerful Old Yards pack again dominated leading to tries from the legend Bobo and last week?s hatrick hero Dave Langley. The backs chipped in too, with Guy Smith and Ben Honey scoring. The front row set their own standards by winning every scrum in the game no matter who put the ball in. Well done to the fat boys.
- The 3rd XV lost away to Edwardians 49-24 when they were ambushed by a mixed 2nd/3rd XV.

Bar Extension
- The club walls have been painted in the bar
- The bar heating and air conditioning has been installed - Simon Davies, any chance you could forget to invoice the club or give us more discount?
- The new electrics and lighting is being powered up
- By Saturday the new ceiling will be up - another Tony Fitz special
When you come up to the club on Saturday you will see how great it looks. A BIG THANKS TO Shannon, Pat, Andy K, Mike ?the money? Hughes, Steve Price, Ben Honey, Brian Collingwood and the Fitzmiester all who have put many hours in doing this work. (If I?ve missed anyone - sorry)
International Tickets
The Old Yardleians ticket allocation for the England away games in the RBS Six Nations 2008 has been received. We only get four tickets per away game. The applications received are many so the only fair way to allocate the tickets is to have a draw. This draw will take place at the club on Saturday 24th November at 12.30.
Merchandise
Now available for purchase at the club are: Club Socks, Club Polo Shirts and Club Dress Shirts (sizes 16? up in stock, smaller sizes for the backs are on order). Also Adult Club Ties are available from Shannon.
