SUPERB, BRILLIANT, AMAZING,
Call it what you want, the dinner and dance held at the Village Hotel was the best club event in living memory and that was the view of all those players and supporters, past and present who joined us to celebrate 90 years of rugby at our club, The Old Yardleians.
The venue was ideal, the food was good and the compere/DJ/entertainer was excellent. The 150 guests received a booklet that provided a fascinating look into how the club has evolved.
It was great to see old friends and on a personal level Charlie Jenkins, Dave Collen, , Jacko (or was it Steve Mancell) , Phil Swales, a tableful of Smiths and many others of similar vintage.
A massive thank you to all of those who contributed in the organisation of the night particularly Pat, Shannon and that nice man who put together the stories.
