A GAME OF TWO HALVES

Wed, 04 Mar 2015 12:00

Earlier in the season our first team defeated Spartans with not too much difficulty. With current form looking not too special the return game somewhere near the Belfrey would not be quite so easy. Turning round at half time trailing by 10-17 it was still possible that we could claw our way back into the game. However, the hosts scored 31 points after the interval compared to our modest total of zero. Final score 10 - 48.

Back at Tilehouse Lane, I decided to watch our Development team (seconds) take on Ledbury.  However, it seems that transport in the rural areas was not functioning as they failed to turn up.

The Vandals, for whom the only predictable thing is their unpredictability, had a day out at Stourbridge and won 45 - 10. (match report is available).

Last Friday's Charity Quiz was an epic encounter. The winning team was from my Badminton club (its good to see that they can do something with success) so well done to Nic, Val, Sue, Janet, Veronica and Ian.
The massive bottle of Sparkly, generously donated by Colin and Caroline Bosworth, was won by our under 12 coach, Aussie John in the 'sudden death' competition.
