NOT A VERY BUSY WEEK FOR THE SENIORS BUT OUR FUTURE STARS PROVIDE SOME CHEER

Seniors

Pitches that were previously rutted and then frozen over made the decisions to call off our games fairly obvious with our only senior game being an understrength Vandals who went over to Spartans and were well beaten 26-0. Our Future Stars
If you have yet to watch our young players on a sunday morning, you should give yourself the opportunity to do so.

The most recent games saw a short journey down the road to Edwardians, a club who always provide a stern challenge.  This weekend was no different in terms of their determination to knocck us off our perch. The Eds had some sturdy players who tended to take route one.  However, we no longer lie down and die.  Our rucking and passing games have developed considerably and the five age groups who took on the Eds achieved wins.

Our under 11s were tempted to see if the gap between the bigger clubs and ourselves had narrowed as they headed south to Worcester to take on the home club and Stourbridge in a three-way encounter.  Well, the gap might have narrowed a little but there is still much work to be done..In fairness, if you never try then you never find out.

Sunday was bitterly cold but it would take more than a ground frost tot keep John Lonie away from his rugby.  However, he did look a wee bit pale.  Perhaps there was a virus going round !
