FAREWELL JAN COLLINS

Along with many others, I felt privileged to attend the funeral of Jan at the Robin Hood Crematorium last Friday. The large turn out of mourners shows the respect that we all had for Jan and also the support that we wanted to provide for Bill, Tom and their family.
The tribute to Jan, on behalf of the club, was read by our President with clarity and emotion. On behalf of us all I would like to thank Steve for this and I am sure that it was appreciated by us all.
The reception at the club was very well attended with club members and friends both young and not quite so young. The buffet was o.k. but not as good as the one that Jan would have provided and that was confirmed by Peter (aka Fridge).
It was good to see representatives from Edwardians and also from the Referees Society joining us.
Thank you all for the dignity and support shown on this very special occasion.
