Westley Hotel
The clubs 70th anniversary celebrations included a Dinner
Dance at the Westley Hotel in Acocks Green with dancing to Simon Browns big
band. The Annual Dinner was also switched successfully to the Westley with
former British Lion Willie John McBride as the speaker. A popular venue, the
Westley continued to host subsequent Annual Dinners organised by Gail Orton.
Guest speakers included other British Lions, Gordon Brown, Fran Cotton, Phil
Bennett and John Bentley.
