Twenty-one Years Old
In our twenty-first year, Mr.
W.A.Jenkins became President, Les Young succeeded Chris Newton-Mason as First
XV Captain, Billy Williamson (Chairman), George Horlick (Secretary) and Harry
Sedgeley (Treasurer) continued in their respective offices.
A Dinner was held at the
Billesley Arms to celebrate the clubs majority and a presentation made to
Eric Cuttris who was still playing after twenty-one years.
To increase publicity amongst
the players and VPs, an informative monthly newsletter In Touch was started
by Frank Bragg . Dances were held quite regularly at the Swan and the
Billesley which proved very popular, not to mention the occasional smoker at
the Red Lion.
